What they need
We’ve all been taught to consume a healthy diet, ever since we were kids. I vividly remember a ‘balanced diet’ chart pinned on the display board in my classroom in Grade 5. It listed the essential foods that one should regularly consume as part of their balanced diet in order to stay healthy. So why wouldn't you want that for your pets as well?

Something good

  • Peanut butter. A favorite treat of many canines. ...

  • Cooked chicken. Can be slipped into the bowl along with your dog's regular food to add a spice and extra protein to its diet. ...

  • Cheese. ...

  • Baby carrots. ...

  • Yogurt. ...

  • Salmon. ...

  • Pumpkin. ...

  • Eggs.

Reptiles
Though they mostly eat crickets, you can treat them by varying their diet and including a lot of different insects. Grasshoppers, hornworms, silkworms, mealworms, cockroaches, and especially waxworms provide great treats for your insectivore. Even earthworms can be a healthy treat.
